
SOLVE YOUR FIRST RUBIK’S CUBE at SOUTH BEACH LIBRARY
The South Beach Library invites the public to a fun and engaging hands-on workshop, “Rubik’s for Beginners: Solve Your First Cube,” designed for first-time solvers of all ages. The guided session takes place on Saturday, January 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and walks participants through the basics of solving a Rubik’s Cube using simple, easy-to-follow techniques. Free cubes and instructions are provided to keep, allowing learning to continue beyond the session. This interactive program reflects NLIS’s commitment to lifelong learning and community enrichment.
Building Problem-Solving Skills Through Community Learning
Instructors of Rubik’s partnered with National Library and Information NLIS Bahamas and conducted workshop sessions. This was facilitated by Mrs. Kristin Knowles and her husband, Mr. Andrew Knowles, and volunteers from USA at the South Beach Library, branch Library, NLIS on 10th January 2026, Majority Rule Day with children and parents in the Community solving the Rubik’s cube puzzles. Mrs. Dorcas Bowler, Director of Libraries, reiterates that this skill promotes spatial awareness, learning, logic and problem-solving etc. in children and adults.
